Just 2 weeks in, but first impressions are IMPRESSIVE! Full alloy body, rims and saddle post making the entire bike light weight, have not weigh it yet but feels like around 15 to 16 kg margin. It has entry level Shimano trigger shifters making it easy for my 11 year old to handle them, comes with mechanical disc brakes which is a bit overkill, V-brakes would have reduces more weight off the bike. The gears and brakes are all easily tuned and out of box it was tune ok, but still took a couple hours to completely tune it properly. Only qualms are the front fork suspension which is just basic springs without any adjustments or lock out, another one is the rims design and the tube use, as the valve is just too shot when it was deflated. The rim is no the round type but more like a "H" which has a gap between the rim and the tube. They are sufficient enough for my son for at least 5 years to come to get him use to the size and the feel of disc brakes, trigger shifters and the hard tail handling. Comes with end bar handles, bike stand, bells and reflectors that is put on for show and safety in mind. We took it out riding on a 25km on road, trails and BMX park. It handles well and light enough for kids that age to ease into a modern pro MTB. Highly recommended for weekend warriors and youth, thinking of getting another one for the wife. You must know a bit of bike setup skills to set this up or you can send it to your local bike shop to get it done but for below AUD200 delivered to your door this is the best you can find in Australia for that price.
