  • I researched this product alot, and believed I was buying a quality knife, with quality steel and premium comfort for the user. Tojiro seemed a good mid range option for me No only am I disappointed in this particular production of nakiri knife, the Tojiro regetsu produced, the basics such as the handle and the black moulding- a slip protection ring I guess, it's very poor quality. A plastic ring that moves about under any touch, a handle too light for the blade, and a blade too flimsy to dare cut anything other than mushrooms or spring onion. It should be capable of cutting with ease through hard vegetables, carrots, potatoes of different kinds, pumpkin even. The design of a nakiri, that's it's purpose. Hard or soft, to chop through with a gliding pressurised movement. Easily.... The actual knife steel is super poor. It's thin, and feels too light to use for its intended purpose - chopping vegetables, hard and soft. As it's my first nakiri knife I went for the cheaper option the brand offered. The next price range was around $120. When I got this model I wished I paid the extra, but the overall quality makes me thank myself for not wasting that money. I'll still with the $10 one my Chef boss offered, purchased from a discount Asain supply shop- the quality of both the steel, the strength, the handle, and the overall weight of the product makes it a no brainer to use. The only positive I can say, is the one I did buy from Tojiro online here, it's very sharp, straight out of the box. Disappointed, really disappointed. 👎🏾
