Surface Preparation Guidelines

Recommended Preparation Methods

1. Diamond Grinding:

   • Removes old coatings, contamination, sealers, or curing agents.
   • Opens concrete pores, ensuring optimal adhesion for the first coat.

2. Acid Etching (alternative method):

   • Hydrochloric acid is available at hardware or pool supply stores.

Diamond Tooling Grit Recommendations

• 30/40 grit: For hard concrete.
• 80 grit: For soft concrete.
• PCD plugs: To remove paint flakes, followed by grinding shoes for smoothing.
