Found in temperate, subtropical, and tropical waters, manta rays are exceptionally large filter feeders that consume large amounts of zooplankton. Despite their huge size, manta rays are quite docile and do not pose a threat to humans.

Scientific Name: Genus Manta
Characteristics: Did you know there are actually two species of manta ray, the giant oceanic manta ray and the reef manta ray? Can you figure out which species this hand painted figurine is modeled after?
Size and Color: 7 inches long and 8 inches wide, both dimensions of this model are about the same size as the width of a piece of legal sized paper. Manta rays are predominantly black, and have white accents along their fins and heads.
The Manta Ray is part of the Monterey Bay Aquarium(R) Sea Life collection.

History:

Sadly, both species of manta ray are classified as vulnerable on the IUCN's red list with a decreasing population trend. Because of their low reproductive rate, manta rays are especially susceptible to harmful effects, the most prevalent of which is overfishing. Manta rays are hunted primarily for their gills, which are used in medicinal products. They also often end up as bycatch in the nets of many fisheries.

Address Changes: If you enter the incorrect name or shipping address details and the item is returned to us via Australia Post, you will be subject to a RTS(return to sender) fee. You will also be responsible for reshipping charge

Return process: If you have a problem with your goods, please contact us within 14 days after receiving the order. We will investigate your issues and advise whether your product may be returned and how to return your goods.

Once an item is returned we will either inspect your goods and investigate any claimed defect or in some cases, send the goods to third parties for assessment and/or repair.

If we do not believe a remedy is applicable upon inspecting your goods (for example, where we believe the goods have been misused, or there was a failure to use in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, used it in an abnormal way or there has been a failure to take reasonable care), we will reject your claim and return your goods to you. You must cover the cost of return shipping in order to receive goods we have rejected on inspection, and we will provide you with instructions on how to make this payment.
Any refunds will be issued using the payment method used for purchase. We aim to process refunds and replacements within 14 days after receiving the order.
