Foscarini Caboche is a stunning pendant that was designed by Eliana Gerotto and Patricia Urqiola in 2005.
This stunning suspension pendant is composed of spheres made of polymethylmetacrylate which is a type of acrylic. The transparent spheres allow for the maximum dispersion of light while at the same time preventing glare. The steel structure allows for stability and framework for the attachment of the spheres. The light is reflected both upward and downward resulting in illumination throughout the space. This pendant is hand made with extreme attention to detail and can be found in cafes, restaurants, clubs, bars and lavish homes all around the world.
Patricia Urquiloa  was born in Oviedo Spain where she went on to study in Madrid. There she studied with one of the foremost industrial Italian designers by the name of Achille Castiglioni, and she attributes much of her success to his guidance. After some brief collaborations with De Padova and Lissoni Assosiati she opened her first design studio in 2001 in Milan. Her studio has allowed her the opportunity to collaborate with many international brands and designers at the highest level, including Eliana Gerotto on the Caboche.
Eliana Gerotto was born in Venice Italy and found herself in Milan as a graphic designer which is where her love for industrial design was born. She studied Communications in Milan and worked in various fields which included graphic and industrial design as well as interior decorating and set design.
