The main ingredient in Dieter’s Nutri-Herbal Tea is Senna. As an herbal medication, Senna is used to treat constipation and to empty the large intestine before surgery. When taken by mouth, it is effective within twelve hours. Senna contains glycosides, which are a group of organic compounds that are commonly found in plants. These compounds work as a laxative by smoothing the muscles as digested food moves through the intestines. This helps to enhance the stool volume and move it out of the colon. The process is caused by chains of fatty acids that promote digestion, fermentation and successfully convert the glycosides into a purgative agent.

Directions for Use (adults only):

Prepare tea with porcelain or glass utensils only. Bring water to a boil. Use one tea bag per cup, pour boiling water over the tea bag, cover the cup and allow to steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Before serving, stir well to fully release the essence of the herbs.For best results, drink one cup daily at bedtime.

Caution:

When taking this product, drink plenty of water. Use in children under 12 years is not recommended.
