The third of five albums devised by Miles Davis' legendary second quintet - and the second record in a still-unprecedented string of eight consecutive releases within a four-year period that forever changed the face of jazz - the 1967 magnum opus mesmerises with instrumental colours, subdued musings, and subtle details.

This is a reference-standard reissue. You'll hear poetic lyricism pouring out of Wayne Shorter's horn, the breadth and definition of the notes spreading across an enormous soundstage. Never before have drummer Tony Williams' rim shots ricocheted with such purpose or his light percussive work mirrored that of a feather touching skin. Similarly, Herbie Hancock's piano runs now occupy their own space, where their relationship to the central rhythms and front line becomes clearer.

Prising inflection and nuance more so than heady solos or uptempo flights, Sorcerer mesmerises with cerebral properties and cascades of emotional interplay. Such beauty emerges in the mellow ballad "Pee Wee," an indelible statement of restrained authority and sophisticated expression. The swirling title track unfolds as jazz shadowplay, Hancock, Shorter, and Williams mirroring one another's moves with guile and purpose. Shipping Details

Orders are typically dispatched from our Hallam warehouse (Melbourne, Victoria) within 24 to 48 hours of payment being received, via Australia Post.

Delivery times vary by location, but estimated timeframes are between 2 - 8 business days.

Some items cannot be delivered to PO Box addresses or Parcel Lockers.

Orders which are especially large or heavy must be shipped via courier and will require an address where there is someone available during the day to receive and sign for the items.

Incorrect Item Sent

In the unlikely event you have received an incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt and we will organise delivery of the correct item. We will despatch the correct item to you immediately upon notification of the error. We will then organise the return of the incorrect item to us at no cost to you.

Incorrect Item Ordered

We offer an exchange or refund if you have purchased an incorrect item.

If you've ordered an incorrect item, we will happily exchange it for the correct item or offer a refund for the cost of the item ordered.

Please contact us to organise your exchange within 30 days of receiving the item, and return it to us within 30 days.

Any postage costs incurred from the return of the goods for exchange are the responsibility of the customer. You are also welcome to make returns at any of our stores.

Any difference in price for an exchanged item will need to be paid in full by the customer upon request of the exchange.

We will ship your replacement item as soon as we receive your returned goods.

We are either the manufacturer or authorised reseller of all the products listed under our Selby brand name and you can be assured every item is genuine and brand new unless specifically described otherwise. In the rare case that you do experience any problems you can deal directly with us to get any issues resolved.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
