The actual oil capacity is maybe 3 or 4 litres. Tends to overflow if you put more in. Disappointed because I wanted a deep fryer that has a large capacity.

When I first unpacked it, it seemed too light, and very flimsy. After cleaning I put it together (Some parts are unattached) as instructed and it came out reasonable. FIlled with oil and first cook produced excellent chips which my horde of kids all said were better than the oven baked ones we usually have and almost as good as the ones from the big M place. The extra large well is deep enough to fry most items that they like, and it's very steady. It heats the oil faster than the old Breville 3L one we used to use. The only con I have is the size of the basket - It leaves a good 3-4cm completely around the well which is too small for things like Chiko/Spring Rolls, and with the basket in, not big enough for a piece of fish to go in all the sides. The basket is not big enough for a large piece of fish or a large bag of Nuggets/Tenders - But I now only have to do two loads of fried food when I'm feeling lazy enough not to cook a proper meal, rather than 4 - and becasue it is fast at heating the oil, the time is much faster too.

Golly, a decent oil fryer for a change. It makes all the difference buying a quality fryer, and this one fits the bill. Nice large frying basket and upper quick element, it holds the temperature really well. Buying a second one actually!

We were apprehensive. P/u at the Post Office, it was a very light package. Assy is attached 4 rubber feet. Easy. The sheeting used is very light, but does the job. 10l tub is Max 6 ltrs of oil. Basket size good. Fast heat up, fast recovery. Nice bright lights. Cooks beaut. We are very happy
