Key Ingredients of our African Spice Blend
Every part plays its role to make our signature African Spice Tea
Rooibos: Known as Rubus gentii, this red bush tea is native to the rugged Western Cape Province of South Africa. It is used in our African Spice Tea due to antioxidants present and caffeine free properties, hence a supple and soothing base is constructed.
Honeybush: Also rooted in the Eastern Cape region with regards to cane shrub, Honeybush is probably the nearest relative of Rooibos except that it has a natural sweet flavor. This composition contributes to the mix a subtle, honey-like sweetness.
Ginger: Warm and lively when added to this blend, akin to the amazing markets of the African cities. This delightful spice is typically invigorating and so brings out the flavors of ginger in the blend quite cozily as it also warms you up.
Pepper: With a narrative that runs through Africa and the ancient spice trade routes, black pepper offers a mild peppery taste which is well-balanced with other spices. An addition that pays tribute to the spice traders traversing Africa who were responsible for interlinking cultures thanks to their odorous goods.
Blue Lotus: Theblue lotus flower itself is an eye-catching bright flower that adds a touch of difference to our African spice tea, increasing its relaxing properties that some may be after in this caffeine free blend.
How this Blend can Benefit your Health
