Temperature stability

For accurate brewing and steaming temperature each time you use it, the ECM Classika is equipped with PID and thermosiphon system. The simple but sleek PID control centre and display lets you set your desired temperature for brewing and creating steam, and it also functions as a shot timer. Switching between the brew group and the steam wand is as easy as flicking the switches in front of the machine.

Pressure adjustment

Even without installing a flow control system, the ECM Classika still offers home baristas an opportunity to experiment with different brewing pressures. The easy-access expansion valve lets you adjust the pressure before pulling the shot, allowing you to explore how different settings impact the flavour of your favourite coffees.

Keep in mind that this feature is different from the pressure profiling that a flow control unit makes possible. You should not adjust the expansion valve in the middle of an extraction.

Improved portafilter

The ECM Classika comes with an angled portafilter and a set of baskets. The newly-improved portafilter has better ergonomics that make for easier handling even if you need to pull shot after shot. It also lays perfectly flat on surfaces so you can tamp away without making a mess.
