Yealink W80B is an IP base station for use as part of a large, multi-cell wireless IP phone system. The base station communicates with Yealink W53H or W56H Wireless Handsets using DECT, which supports wideband HD audio, encrypts communications, and reduces spectrum density in offices with many Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices. W80B is a scalable solution for increasing mobility in the office and for improving coverage in larger spaces like warehouses, retail stores, and hangars. When set up as part of a multi-cell system, W80B provides seamless transfer between base stations, which for the user equals more room to roam without worrying about the call dropping.
Yealink recommends for indoor spaces that the base stations be 20 to 50m (66ft to 164ft) apart. Because it is an extended wireless phone system, Yealink W80B also handles many more handsets and calls than the typical system. You can configure up to 30 base stations as part of a single wireless phone system. Each system can support up to 100 handsets with up to 100 concurrent calls as a whole or 8 per base station. W80B connects to your IP network using Ethernet and is powered via PoE. It supports the open SIP protocol and is compatible with 3CX, BroadSoft, and Metaswitch.
Security & Stability
Based on Yealink DECT technology, W80B provides you with both the stable call and the seamless roaming and handover. Wireless data transmission over-the-air is ensured by the DECT encryption. At the same time, TLS and SRTP play a pivotal role in secure SIP communication. Advanced DECT Contacts
When a call is coming, the receiver can obtain the caller information, including the caller number and caller name, from the phone screen easily and clearly. Compatibility with several PBX platforms makes contacts from different platforms reachable on the Yealink W80B e.g. Xsi directory and XML contacts. LDAP and Remote Phonebook are also available on the W80B.
Efficient Provisioning & Unified Management
The W80B inherits the Yealink powerful Auto-p mechanism from W60B, allowing the efficient provisioning and effortless mass deployment to be simply implemented via Yealink’s Redirection and Provisioning Service (RPS) and auto provisioning. You can also configure and manage the entire multi-cell system on the DECT Manager web portal, making the deployment, maintenance and upgrade trouble-free as well as saving time and IT costs.
Easy Setup and Deployment
In the multicast network, administrators profit from zero touch provisioning that the system is established as soon as the base station is powered on and connected to the network. If you are in a non-multicast network environment, obtaining the IP address of the base station from the handset directly helps you set up the system faster and easier.
