Yakima Industries is founded by Otto & Jeanne Lagervall in Yakima, Washington. An inventor and paddlesports enthusiast, Otto makes handmade foot braces for canoes and kayaks. (His first claim to fame: invention of the foldable metal music stand.) Their small machine shop also creates roof racks for hauling ladders and pruning equipment.
We're willing to wager you'll never find a better hitch-style bike carrier for the price than the affordable DoubleDown. This model can carry up to 4 bikes. So it's perfect for families that have made lots of contributions to the gene pool, or riders with a lot of friends.
