Tim Storrier spent his early childhood on the family property, ''Ümagarlee" near Wellington in northern NSW. Storrier combines a meticulous technical finesse with an emotionally charged, often theatrical mood in his work. He strikes a chord with the uncompromising reality of the Australian landscape, its limitless space, and boundaries. Smith (now retired) refined his printmaking techniques over many years which enhance the precise forms, the ethereal space, and the incandescent light of the flames. These prints use pigment paints and with their multiple layers give a much more painterly effect, with only the edition number giving away their true identity.
