Synthetic Jungle by Frederic Malle is a Chypre fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Synthetic Jungle was launched in 2021. The nose behind this fragrance is Anne Flipo. Top notes are Galbanum, Basil and Black Currant; middle notes are Lily-of-the-Valley, Hyacinth, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang and Almond; base notes are Oakmoss and Patchouli. Frederic Malle is the man behind the niche fragrance house Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle. Born in Paris in 1962 to a family in the perfume industry (Grandfather Serge Heftler founded Christian Dior Perfumes, and Frederic's mother later worked as an Art Director for the same perfume house), Frederic was exposed to the inner workings of the industry at a tender age. Initially choosing to study Art History in New York, Frederic made a change in 1986 and accepted a position at the famed perfume lab Roure Bertrand Dupont. At Roure, Frederic learned about raw ingredients, composition and all aspects of perfume creation from some of the finest professionals in the business. Frederic collaborated with another "nose," Pierre Bourdon, on Mark Birley for Men in 1996. After working in the industry for more than 15 years, Frederic was ready to embark on a new adventure. In 2000, using his connections and experience in the industry, Frederic invited nine top perfumers to create their own original perfumes, with complete creative freedom and with no financial restrictions regarding ingredients or technologies. These fragrances were packaged in bottles that feature the name of the perfumer—a first in the industry, where the perfumer is traditionally behind the scenes and credit for the scent is given to the fashion house or celebrity on the bottle. The perfumes were marketed at a specially-designed store that featured photos of each perfumer and refrigerated cabinets for storage and presentation of the scents. (Later, the perfumes were also distributed in partnership with select department stores around the world.) The end result was a smashing success, with the original nine perfumes now legendary in the industry, and with the perfumers behind each creation finally getting the recognition they deserved. Frederic Malle, who describes himself as an "editor of perfumes" has since worked with other top perfumers in the industry (whom he refers to as "authors of perfumes") to "publish" more Editions. Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle has expanded to offers candles, innovative home scents, soap and body care products, all created with the same freedom as the first nine fragrances. The Perfume Warehouse offers free shipping on orders to most metro cities and major regional centres across Australia (excludes oversized items). Your order will be shipped from our warehouse, which is located in Sydney, within 1-2 working days of receiving the order excluding public holidays & weekends. The majority of our parcels are delivered by Australia Post however occasionally we work with other courier partners to provide the most efficient delivery service with the most reasonable price. ** Due to Covid-19 courier drivers are not required to obtain customer signatures. We recommend that the delivery address you provide is attended at all times such as a work address. In the very unlikely event that your item is lost or damaged during post, then we are responsible and will issue either a full refund or replacement (photos must be sent of damages). Tracking details are emailed to customers upon dispatch.

A signature is not required upon delivery unless requested otherwise in the order notes. The driver will leave the parcel only if safe to do so, otherwise a missed delivery card will left behind. If you have problems with your delivery please contact us and we'll always work with you to address any issues.

Returns | Warranties | Damaged or Faulty items

Please choose wisely as refunds for receiving what you purchased but simply changed your mind, found the product cheaper somewhere else, or decided you didn't like the purchase or had no use for it will not be refunded.

Exchanges can be organised within 20 days of receiving the item, but all shipping costs and price differences must be covered by the customer. Under the Australian Consumer law, you may have the right to return/exchange an item if you believe the item to be faulty. This right is not limited by a defined time frame.

When exchanging items, replacement items will be dispatched once original items are received back by The Perfume Warehouse. Items must be in original condition, including but not limited to all plastic seals and wrappers, labels, stickers, etc. for item to be exchanged. Once a perfume has been opened and/or sprayed all returns are strictly prohibited.

If you believe you have been sent an incorrect item, contact The Perfume Warehouse and they will rectify any possible mistakes. Do not, under any circumstances break the plastic seal or spray a perfume you believe to be the incorrect item. If this occurs, The Perfume Warehouse are unable to accept the return for health and safety reasons.

All items are dispatched unused, undamaged and in original condition. If there are any aesthetic imperfections on your item before being sent, you will be contacted by staff prior to dispatch.

If item has been broken during delivery, please keep all packaging, including the packaging it was sent in. The Perfume Warehouse will require images of the broken item and the relevant packaging. We may require you to take the entirety of the parcel, including what it was sent and wrapped in, to a post office for further inspection.

In the case that an item is faulty, The Perfume Warehouse may deem it necessary to send the item back to the manufacturer or their service agent for an assessment; this will be done promptly within a reasonable period. In this case, if the item is deemed faulty by the manufacturer you may then be given a refund or exchange, depending on the situation and judgement of The Perfume Warehouse.

If the item is damaged through misuse or abnormal use of the product, as defined by The Perfume Warehouse we will not provide a refund or exchange.

If The Perfume Warehouse finds that the product does not have a problem once sent back, we charge a 20% fee for collection and inspection costs. This will be made known to you before you ship the product.
