Strepsils Extra Blackcurrant contains Hexylresorcinol 2.4mg - an ingredient which is both antibacterial to fight bacterial throat infections but also has anesthetic properties to numb throat pain. Suitable for Adults and Children over six years. The presence of an antibacterial agent in lozenges has not been shown to have a beneficial effect on the severity or duration of sore throat.

Do not take hot food or drink soon after using this product as it may burn your mouth.
Do not give to children under 6 years.
If sore throat persists for more than two days accompanied by fever or headache or nausea consult your doctor.
