Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) is the most consumed mushroom in Asian countries and is traditionally considered as the ‘elixir of life’. Shiitake is rich in adaptogens, including eritadenine, lentinan, sterols and beta-glucans that increase satiety, block cholesterol absorption, reduce blood pressure and boosting bone health, heart function.
