Gokshura:
Tribulus Terrestris (Gokshura) is known for its rejuvenative qualities, is considered an aphrodisiac and is helpful in building body strength. Gokshura also has diuretic properties, lithotriptic qualities and is helpful for heart and gut health. In Ayurveda, Gokshura has energetics which are sweet in taste, cold in potency, with a sweet postdigestive effect (PDE), has heavy and oily qualities and helps to balance all three doshas. Dosage 2-4g.
Ashwagandha:
Withania Somnifera (Ashwagandha) is known as a rejuvenative herb, helping to enhance body strength and immunity, and is used to help manage auto-immune disorders. Ashwagandha will help to counter fatigue and tiredness, is good for neurological disorders, helps to improve sleep, counters anxiety and stress, has anti-aging properties and also has aphrodisiac qualities. According to Ayurvedic Principles of Pharmacology, Ashwagandha has energetics which are pungent, bitter and astringent in taste, is hot in potency, has a pungent post-digestive effect at the tissue level, and has oily and lightness qualities. Based on these energetics it is known to balance all three doshas, but especially Kapha and Pitta.
Akarkara:
Anacyclus Pyrethum (Akarkara) is known as an effective nerve stimulant hence it is helpful for low libido, supports erectile dysfunction, helps to stimulate immunity and supports cardiac health - with issues like bradycardia. In Ayurveda, it has energetics which are pungent in taste, hot in potency, has a pungent post digestive effect (PDE), possesses dry and hot qualities and helps to balance both Vata and Kapha. Parts used: Root. Dosage 500mg to 1g.
Shatavari:
Asparagus Racemosus (Shatavari) is known for its aphrodisiac qualities, Shatavari aids in improving both male and female fertility issues. Additionally, Shatavari is also helpful for digestive issues, has anti-inflammatory properties, is beneficial to eye health and has anti-aging qualities. Shatavari is also good for bleeding disorders, and for women it is useful in the management of menorrhagia, and helps improve breast milk production for mothers.
