The LA-CO Regular Soldering Flux Paste, available in a 113g container at The Grit, is an essential for any copper soldering job. This all-weather, water-soluble paste is designed to provide optimal results without leaving unwanted residue in water pipes. Importantly, it contains no zinc chloride, reducing any potential corrosion worries. Safety is paramount; the formula is non-acidic, non-toxic, and lead-free. This versatile flux can be used on a variety of metals, including copper, brass, galvanised iron, lead, zinc, tin, silver, mild steel, terne plate, and malleable iron. When applied, the flux cleans the pipe surface, allowing the solder to flow smoothly and evenly around the joint. The all-weather formula ensures consistent performance in both hot and cold conditions. Meeting the industry standard ASTM B813 and holding both NSF and UPC approvals, this flux paste provides reliability.
