The first OPTIMA model was heralded as a technical masterpiece at its release in 1985 and from then, Kyosho has set the standard in R/C development. Memories of the OPTIMA are fresh even after 30 years and its stylish form and ruthlessly efficient performance still resonate amongst modern racing machines. Now the new OPTIMA is ready to continue the battle for racing dominance, embodying the latest in technological evolution but with the distinctive OPTIMA style. The narrow backbone shaped chassis provides the platform for optimal geometry with large steering angles and double wishbone suspension with long 35mm suspension stroke.

Recreated in the image of the original design, the the 4WD chain system is housed inside a sealed compartment and the gears and gearbox at the centre of the drive train are equipped with robust metal counter gear pinion and rear diff case. The drive train also features a slipper clutch and precision 48-pitch gear modules that reduce drive loss and fulfil the potential of modern power sources. Modern features include the choice of chain drive or belt drive as well as big bore shocks on front and rear that have been recreated in the original OPTIMA colours, plus hex screws. As a true racing partner, the OPTIMA is ready to race again with the latest advancements in driving performance.

Impact resistant resin bumper. Comes with two types of bumpers, a large bumper that reproduces those days and a mini bumper that is suitable for racing.
High precision front-only (12φ x 18mm) oil shock.
Shock resistant nylon double wishbone suspension.
Aluminum backbone type chassis. Simple and highly rigid.
12φ x 31mm stroke large capacity rear oil shock.
The wheel was changed to a one-piece type while maintaining the stylish design of the time.
Taking over the image of the initial model, Optima's exclusive tuck spike tire with a new softer compound for increased grip.
You can choose from two types of drive system: the compartment 4WD chain drive that took the world by storm, and the 4WD belt drive that was released as an option later to minimize drive loss and has gained tremendous trust and is still used today.
FRP mechanical plate that can be equipped with each company's ESC (speed controller).
The battery stay, which can be used with various current batteries, has a hook-and-loop fastener (a battery strap with a KYOSHO logo print is included), making it easy to attach and detach the battery.
The gear module has been revised to 48 pitches to reduce drive loss, and each gear and rear differential case are made of durable metal as standard equipment.
A slipper clutch has been added to the gearbox to protect the mission while effectively utilizing traction to raise the level even further.
All bearings are standard equipped with ball bearings. (Chain specification/16 pcs. Belt specification/18 pcs.)
Comes with pre-cut decals that can reproduce the vivid colouring of the package.
The screw used for assembly is a hex type that can be securely tightened and has high workability.

We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 business days of receiving the order. Our business days are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm AEST and please note, we do not dispatch on Victorian public holidays.

Our orders are shipped via Australia Post eParcel, Fastway Couriers, Couriers Please or TNT Couriers depending on the shipping address, weight and size of your parcel. All orders have tracking details which provided upon dispatch with links to the carrier’s website. Once an order has been placed please understand we cannot change the shipping address or cancel the order.

Once the package has left us it is your responsibility to keep an eye on when it should be arriving and to contact us within 7 days after the expected delivery date if it has not arrived.

If an incorrect address has been provided, and as a result the parcel is required to be dispatched again, redelivery charges will apply.

If the product is required to be sent back to our suppliers for assessment, we will cover this cost.

A warranty refers to any new product which has a manufacturing defect or a major failure within a reasonable period.
If the warranty relates to a minor failure then we may replace, repair or refund the item.
On assessment if the product is deemed as having a major failure, the customer can decide whether they would like a replacement, repair or refund.
A warranty does not apply to any wear and tear on a product, crash damage or a product being operated outside it’s intended use.
