 One of the first Japanese small-scale handcrafted whiskies to be launched in Australia was Kurayoshi Pure Malt Whisky and Tottori Blended Whisky. Kurayoshi's Tottori line is a collection of blended whiskies made from Scottish and Japanese malts and grains. This is the range's flagship expression, which the creators suggest using in a Highball cocktail. Fresh cream, lemon sponge cake and a trace of pine resin dominate the aroma. With notes of black pepper and almond, the flavor is bready. A smidgeon of smoke lingers at the end.
