The piezo element is encased in laminated birch with a stylish maple top, providing a lightweight assembly that maximizes tonal sensitivity. The passive design of the AP-1 reproduces the natural sound of the instrument without the need for a battery. The complete installation set includes a double-sided adhesive disc, enough PowerTack adhesive for multiple applications, and a detachable 1/8" to 1/4" cable to keep the pickup in place during storage.
