Hultafors 3840326 - 1.0Kg Agdor Carpenter's Axe (Hickory Handle)

Hand forged by skilled craftsman using the same techniques passed down since 1697 the AGDOR Carpenter's Axe is perfect for joinery work and shaping logs.  The axe head has been struck repeatively during the forging process to increase the axes durability before being tempered to increase its hardness and ability to hold an edge.

Like with most carpentry axes this axe head features a notch near the shaft to give the carpenter more control over the axe during cuts.

The handle is made from a straight piece of Amerian hickory for the perfect balance of strenght.  The handle is treated with linseed oil to prevent dirt and moisture damage.

• The axe is hand-forged and made from Swedish axe steel using traditional methods in use since 1697.
• The steel is stuck several times, increasing its density and thereby the durability of the axe.
• Has a clear tempered zone within which the axe can be sharpened whilst not detracting from the strength of the edge.
• The shaft is made from hickory and treated with linseed oil.
