I bought a refurbished hair straightener, and I’m not sure if the new version of this model is the same. The plates don’t seem to close fully; is that normal or is there a problem? Otherwise, the front of the straightener works well.

It definitely straightens my hair well. It’s the perfect size esp since I prefer wider straighteners. I do feel there’s a more better quality one out there but for the price this works great too!
