The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was a World War II era American piston engined fighter aircraft. It was one of the unique fighter aircraft of WWII featuring a twin engine and twin boom design. It is used for interception, dive-bombing, level bombing, ground attack, night fighting, photo reconnaissance, radar and visual pathfinding for bombers and evacuation missions and extensively has a long-range escort fighter when equipped with drop tanks under its wings. The aircraft served in all major theatres of the war and proved deadly to its adversaries in the hands of a skilled pilot. The P-38J Lightning "Virginia Marie" was a production variant with improvement to each batch, including chin radiators, flat bullet proof windscreens, power-boosted ailerons and increased fuel capacity.

All postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer except in circumstances whereby goods are damaged or goods sent in error. We recommend that you return the product via Registered Post and that you pre-pay all necessary postage. You assume any risk of loss, theft or damaged goods during transit. We, therefore, advise you take opt for shipment registration & insurance with your postal carrier. Hobbyco will not be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure. Be certain to return the correct goods, otherwise, if the goods received were not as discussed, Hobbyco will not cover any postage costs to send the goods back.
