Dragonfly

The hum and buzz of a darting Dragonfly seem to be one of Australia's unspoken iconic images or, indeed, around the world. Darting over a pond or home swimming pool, occasionally hovering over a spot for a moment or two so you can get a closer glimpse of their speedy wings. They are just too beautiful not to celebrate. Loss of wetland habitat threatens dragonfly populations around the world.
