More than two decades ago, Enduro bearings introduced MAX-type bearings, specifically tailored for bicycles to confront the complexities associated with mountain bike pivots. MAX-type bearings exhibit a remarkable 35-40% increase in load capacity compared to standard radial bearings, achieved through a specialized design that maximizes the insertion of balls into the bearing. This surplus of balls, in combination with deep race grooves, delivers enhanced lateral support, adeptly managing the twisting and multi-directional forces often encountered in mountain bike pivots. The ABEC-3 bearing within this range features deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, providing maximum defence against environmental elements while retaining a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease inside. Additionally, this bearing boasts an extended inner race, eliminating the necessity for extra spacers to connect suspension linkages.
