Over two decades ago, Enduro Bearings introduced MAX-type bearings tailored for bicycles to tackle the challenges linked with mountain bike pivots. These bearings, characterized by a unique configuration involving the insertion of the maximum ball count into the bearing via customized ground slots in the races, offer a remarkable 35-40% higher load capacity compared to standard radial bearings. The additional balls, alongside deep race grooves, supply substantial lateral reinforcement, crucial for countering the twisting and multi-directional forces associated with mountain bike pivots. This ABEC-3 bearing showcases deep-groove design races, utilizing Grade 10 balls and complete-contact, dual-lip labyrinth (LLU) seals, ensuring maximum protection against environmental factors while preserving a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease.

Notably, this bearing has found utility as a suspension pivot bearing among various bicycle brands.

The Enduro line of bearings encompasses options in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls.
