More than two decades ago, Enduro Bearings introduced MAX-type bearings specifically designed for bicycles, targeting the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. These innovative MAX-type bearings offer an impressive 35-40% higher load capacity compared to conventional radial bearings. They achieve this through a distinctive design that involves inserting the maximum number of balls into the bearing via a customized ground slot in the races. Enhanced with deep race grooves, these bearings deliver exceptional lateral support, effectively countering the twisting and multi-directional forces inherent in mountain bike pivots. This ABEC-3 bearing showcases deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, ensuring optimal protection against external elements while maintaining a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease inside.

Recognized for its performance, this bearing has been utilized as a suspension pivot bearing by various bicycle brands, including Ibis.

Enduro's line of bearings encompasses high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 variants, available with ceramic or stainless balls. All our bearings are meticulously engineered with the deepest groove races conceivable to accommodate the largest balls, and they feature dual-lip seals maneuvering within micro-grooves to create complete labyrinths, offering superior protection against the elements.
