Enduro Bearings introduced MAX-type bearings for bicycles over 20 years ago to tackle challenges in mountain bike pivots. These MAX-type bearings offer 35-40% more load capacity than standard radial bearings, achieved through a specialized design inserting the maximum number of balls via custom ground slots in the races. The presence of additional balls, along with deeper race grooves, enhances lateral support to counteract the twisting and multi-directional forces related to mountain bike pivots. This ABEC-3 bearing features deep-groove design races with Grade 10 balls and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, ensuring maximal protection against the elements while retaining a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease. Its flanged design guarantees precise installation into through-holes in swing arms and suspension linkages, while the offset bearing is tailored to precisely match the Giant Anthem linkage.

Giant has utilized this bearing as a suspension pivot bearing.

The Enduro range includes bearings in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. These bearings are consistently engineered with the deepest groove races to accommodate the largest balls and incorporate dual-lip seals riding within micro-grooves, forming a comprehensive labyrinth for superior protection against environmental elements.
