Dog Coat Winter Warm Waterproof Reflective Dog Down Jacket

These coats aren't bad but the sizing is odd. I bought the 6XL for my approx 28-30kg girl and it was REALLY long - it went halfway down her tail. I reviewed it a while ago. So I thought if I get the 5XL (this one I'm reviewing now) it might fit better. Well, it's much shorter, not quite reaching her tail, but it's very snug around her chest and armpits. Too snug to be comfortable I thought. I wasn't happy with the idea of leaving it on her all night while I'm in bed which is the purpose of her having a coat. So now I have two, she wears the original 6XL and I'll keep this one for a while to see if she loses weight. She needs to be about 25kg but I don't know if losing 3-5kg will make it fit. As I mentioned in the other review, I'm not keen on the luminescent strips on them but I like the rest of the red colour. She's happy to wear it too so it's comfy. It was a decent price too but I originally believed the inner lining would be soft. Instead, it's the same as the outer - a water-repellant fabric. Hard to buy some things online!

This is for cold nights after I've turned the heater off and snuggled myself up in bed. Generally, it looks like a decent coat for the price, however even tho I measured my dog before buying, it ended up being way too big for her, especially the length where it goes halfway down her tail. She looks like a kid in dress-up. I've since bought the next size down but I have the feeling I might be doing that a few times to get the right size. Also in reading the inside layer description, I thought it was a soft "fabric" but it's "polyester fabric" - ie exactly the same waterproof material as the outside. I'm also not keen on the high-vis strips and will be seeing if I can take them off once I've got the correct size. But I knew they were there. It is easy to zip on, covers a lot more of her than other coats and once I get the size right she'll be comfortable in it. I like that it has a long neck without being a snood or hoodie. Since there are no straps she can't get caught up. Also, no velcro which looks useful but gets too hairy over time. I just wish I could feel I was putting something soft and warm on her instead of waterproof material.

Sizing way off. Ordered 3xl, checked measurements. No chance of fitting dog.

Generous sizing, easy to put on and off. Untried in wet weather so far but looks like it will keep my Labrador nicely dry when needed.
