Batteries must be replaced when the music stops completely or in the middle of the song. How to activate the music? Put the switch into the 'ON' position. To save the batteries, don't forget to switch to the 'OFF' position. The quality of the sound is very dependable on batteries condition. Batteries should be changed when sounds mix, distort or become otherwise unintelligible as batteries weaken.
