Encourage crawling – when your baby is on the floor on his tummy, position the snail in front of his face and away. Turn on the snail, by pressing the green button. Then, activate the snail by pressing the green tail down. As the snail rolls away and play music, the baby will visually track its motion, wishing to touch the snail, eventually prompting the baby to stretch and crawl.
Cause & effect and encouraging exploration – show your baby how to operate the snail by pressing the tail. The easy to operate tail button enables independent operation by your baby while teaching him cause and effect. Introduce your child to new concepts such as fast/slow, near/far. Crawling after the snail will also encourage exploration of the surrounding.
Stacker doubles as an independent toy. Show your child how to place and remove the stacker from the snail’s back. Show your child how stacker rolls back and forth on the floor or playmate.
Developing motor skills – while your baby is sitting, unscrew the top of the stacker and place the stacker in front of him. Demonstrate taking out the rings by either taking off one ring at a time or turning the stacker over allowing all the rings to fall freely. Even if your baby is not ready yet to place the rings back on the stacker, he will love taking them off. Around one year old, your baby will be able to stack a ring by himself. For better development motor skills, place a ring in a different hand each time and then in both. Accompany playing with counting and concepts such as high/low, many/few.
