Initially I had a small stand alone folding clothes line because of limited space. This was never effective as it would blow over in moderate winds as it wasn't retractable. Having since purchased the Brabantia fold away clothes line, I now have a great washing line and when folded back into the storage box it gives me plenty of room to walk past and it looks great.

The best thing that we ever bought - especially during the winter season. A blessing in disguise - Large enough for most family washes. A little restricted for drying sheets otherwise very capable.

I LOVE this washing line. I was looking for a functional washing line for my apartment balcony that could hold a full wash, including sheets. But I didn't want it to be an eyesore while I was sitting outside. This is perfect - total 24m of washing line (although sheets do have to be folded) and it all folds away into the slimline storage box. Would highly recommend.
