INDICATIONS

COLD THERAPY.

Cold therapy works by reducing blood flow to a particular area.
Used in cases of soft tissue sprains, strains, body scrapes, burns, headache, migraine, fever, sports injury, eye strain, toothache, insect bites, nose bleeds, heat rash.
Helps reduce inflammation and swelling that causes pain, especially around a joint or a tendon.
May temporarily reduce nerve activity, which can also relieve pain.
People with sensory disorders that prevent feel sensations should not use cold therapy without care.
Diabetics may experience nerve damage and lessened sensitivity without care.
Cold therapy should not be used if you have poor circulation.
Cold therapy incorrectly applied can result in skin, tissue, or nerve damage. If you unsure consult your doctor before using cold therapy.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

COLD USE

When not in use always store vest in a freezer, so it's ready to use as soon as you need it.
Cooling times may vary depending on your level of activity and ambient temperature.
Place the vest in a freezer for at least 2.5 hours prior to use or place in a mixture of heavily iced water until cold.
Altenatively you may place the gel pack in a mixture of heavily iced water until suitably cold.
Remove from the freezer or iced water.
Dry vest well and apply on the body.
As you will be wearing this vest in a hot environment, any moisture over your clothing or skin will evaporate quickly and will also assist in cooling your body.

HOT USE

Please note that it is possible to use this vest for HEAT if desired, although this product is primarily designed for COLD use.

MICROWAVE METHOD

Heating times are based on an 800W microwave.
Adjust heating times accordingly to suit the power of your microwave. It may take a few goes to get it right.
Always heat pack from room temperature - never from frozen.
Microwave the gel pack ONLY - never the vest.
Monitor whilst heating - If the pack swells, turn off the microwave immediately and wait for swelling to subside.
Place the gel pack flat on the microwave turntable, close the door and heat for 20 seconds on HIGH.
Remove the gel pack USING AN OVEN GLOVE OR TOWEL and test the temperature.
If the edges are warm and the middle cold, move the gel around inside the pack to distribute the heat.
Re-Flatten and return to the microwave for another 10-20 seconds.
Always keep an eye on it at all times.
Repeat above steps until desired heat is achieved.
Once the packs are sufficiently warm, re-insert them into the vest and apply.

Please pay close attention to these points.

Don't make the packs too hot so as to risk burning yourself.
Medically, there is no advantage to anything more than gentle warmth.
Don’t heat the pack for more than 10-20 seconds at a time.
The plastic may melt at the edges if heated too aggressively.
Short bursts are best.
In the unlikely event that you damage the packs, allow the gel to cool completely before attempting to clean it up.
Don’t panic - the gel is 100% non-toxic.
Always handle a HOT pack through a towel, glove or cover and do not apply a HOT pack directly to the skin without protection.
When using do not put weight on the pack by sitting on the gel pack.
Breakage/leakage may occur.

Holiday season closure

All goods ordered prior to the close date have been shipped so if you are still waiting for your delivery check with your local post office or online tracking information.

Due to strict hygiene health laws, worn or used goods cannot be returned. All personal products that make direct contact with the body cannot be returned after any length of time in use. Discontinued and/or clearance lines are also non returnable. Faults may only be considered for products within a warranty period. Orders already shipped, or in the process of being shipped cannot be cancelled.

You may request a return if an item is damaged on receipt, deemed to be faulty or has a major failure. If so please email us ASAP and make sure to keep all original boxes and packaging. We are not required to replace a product on 'change of mind' or if you believe the product does not provide you with a remedy or suit your personal requirements. In some circumstances our customer service managers may decide to assist you, at their discretion and on a case by case basis.

Please note that the cost of return shipping is always bourne by the customer, unless we are responsible for the cause of the return. Once a 'return request' is accepted, we provide a Return Authorization number (RAN). This must be accompanied with the return. Products without a 'RAN' cannot be processed.

After confirmation, re-pack the item(s) safely and clearly mark your name and RAN on the parcel. You may also include a detailed written explanation as to the nature of the return. The goods must be received back in original condition, including any packaging. Exchange requests required the customer to pay an additional outgoing freight charge prior to shipping. We require a receipt as proof of purchase. Without a receipt or clear proof of purchase we cannot proceed with processing any return.

How long do you have to claim?
Consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law are not limited by a defined time period and can vary from product to product depending on factors such as the nature of goods, price and statements made on packaging and product labels. Please refer to the product packaging for specific information about the warranty period for the product you purchased. Damaged goods or exchange requests must be actioned ASAP. Unless you notify us to the contrary by email, the Products shall be deemed to have been accepted by you.

Some products may need to be assessed before a decision can be made.
We may need to assess some products prior to determining whether a replacement or refund is appropriate. Certain products may need to be sent to the manufacturer or their repair agent for assessment. In these cases we ask that you send us detailed photos by email of the fault so we can evaluate it beforehand and decide if we will take responsibility for return shipping or not.

In some cases a refund, replacement or repair may not be offered if the item was substantially modified, misused contrary to user instructions or packaging labels or where you simply changed your mind. Certain products are automatically excluded under our Returns Policy unless they are faulty. They include items worn directly over the skin and in particular where bodily fluids such as perspiration have soiled the products making them unsaleable and for any discounted lines.
