Australian by Nature Propolis Candy with Manuka are a refreshing and tasty treat. With the natural properties of Propolis and the soothing effect of Manuka Honey 12+ (MGO 400) Methyglyoxal along with the additional refreshing qualities of peppermint oil, aniseed oil and menthol, these candies are effective in clearing your nose, soothing your throat and giving freshness to your breath.

Propolis Candy with Manuka Honey 12+ (MGO 400) are made using the traditional old-fashioned method for hard boiled lollies.

Propolis is a natural resinous substance generally referred to as ‘bee glue’. Bees collect resin from the bark and buds of the trees and process it by mixing wax, pollen, salivary secretions and collected natural resins to form Propolis. The bees utilise this dark sticky substance to fill up any cracks and smoothing of the inner layer of the hive. This process is to seal and protect the hive from infection, fungal growth and bacteria. The bees also smear Propolis around the entrance of their hive to strengthen the hive and protect from intruders.

Propolis is a complex natural substance that contains phytochemicals, flavonoids, organic acids, vitamins and minerals. It contains flavonoids and is made up of resin & balsam 50%, wax 30% essentials oils 10%, pollen 5% and organic matter 5%. Flavonoids are one of the main groups of phenolic compounds in Propolis. This flavonoid concentration affects the bioactivity of Propolis.

Manuka is the Native New Zealand Maori name for the leptospermum scoparium tree. Australian by Nature sources Manuka Honey from our own apiaries in far north New Zealand. This honey is produced by honeybees and collected from beehives located in high density, organic and pollution free Manuka Forests. Once collected, Manuka is filtered and packaged to ensure the retention of its natural properties. Manuka Honey is extremely stable and not affected by light, heat nor dilution making it very effective in many applications. Australian by Nature Manuka Honey is 100% natural with no additives. Fresh Manuka is packed in one of New Zealand’s most highly accredited facilities where it is labelled in compliance with standards implemented by the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI).

Propolis Candy with Manuka are individually sealed for optimum taste and freshness, the candies are available in resealable bags.

Each batch of Australian by Nature Manuka Honey is tested and certified by an accredited laboratory under the ISO17025 standard for its MGO (Methylglyoxal) levels guaranteeing a minimum amount of methylglyoxal. This test result is shown on our label. For example, MGO 400 (12+) Manuka Honey assures there is a minimum of 400mg of methylglyoxal per kg.

Each candy contains extract equivalent to fresh Propolis 30mg
Cane Sugar, Wheat Glucose Syrup, Propolis (1%), Manuka Honey (1%), Peppermint Oil, Aniseed Oil, and Menthol.

Dissolve one candy slowly in the mouth as desired
