Genuine Astral Hurlcon replacement VX9 cell suits all previous series chlorinators in the VX range. New cells have 4 prongs (1 earth, 1 negative & 2 positive) the 2 positive have a connecting bridge so the one output wire conducts both prongs. Will suit all older models and box style Astral Hurlcon Cells with the 3 prong system.

  • It does the job it is intended to do. It had a different connection mechanism to the one it replaced and there were NO instructions. Had to work it out with Dr Google using non-astral/hurlcon sites. Horrendously expensive for what you get but you are forced to stay with the proprietary brand, somewhat akin to being held to ransom

  • Very happy with this purchase. The cell works perfectly with my (old) Hurlcon salt chlorinator. I wish I bought this years ago as my old one clearly wasn't working. I haven't added new chlorine to my pool for 2 weeks and that is highly unusual.
