InstructionsClean and dry skin around the wound. Allow at least 3cm border from the edge of the wound. Colour change over wound area extending to 1cm from the dressing edge indicates that the dressing needs changing.
Ingredients-
Warning & PrecautionsDo not use with oxidising agents such as EUSOL or hydrogen peroxide as these can break down the absorbent polyurethane component of the dressing. In common with all adhesive products, irritation and / or maceration of the skin surrounding the wound may occur. Infrequently cases of sensitivity to the dressing have been reported. If reddening or sensitisation occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. It should be noted that inappropriate use , or too frequent dressing changes, particularly on patients with fragile skin , can result in skin stripping. This product is a single use product. If used on more than one patient, cross- contamination or infection may occur. Opening the dressing pack compromises the sterile barrier therefore any unused dressing should not be retained for use at a later date.
What it isALLEVYN ADHESIVE is a 3 layer, highly absorbent dressing suitable for moderate to heavy exudate, It is self-adhesive and waterproof, can be left in place for up to seven days. The triple layer technology allows effective exudate management to support a moist wound healing environment.
What it doesALLEVYN ADHESIVE Hydrocellular Foam Dressing has an advanced triple-layer construction that combines an absorbent hydrocellular pad between a perforated adhesive wound contact layer and a highly permeable waterproof outer film that aids in the prevention of bacterial contamination of the wound. The advanced triple-layer construction facilitates dynamic fluid management to provide the optimal wound environment, which promotes moist wound healing and may help minimize the risk of maceration.

The backing film aids in the prevention of fluid and bacterial strikethrough. The dressing can be left in place without the need for secondary fixation and is both easy to apply and remove.
