Surprised at the quality of this bed. Solid construction once assembled and very happy with the hard wire brush finish. It's half way between dressed and rough cut timber, with an oil rubbed in to make it resistant to moisture staining. Will most likely need an oil every year or so to prevent cracking long term though. "Made in Malaysia" written on the box, and not surprised given the amount of labour that would have been required to piece the mosaic panels together. The matching bedside tables are just as good a construction. First time to buy furniture on line and based on this experience will do so again.
