  • The whipper Snipper looks fantastic, appears to be good quality and it wasn't complicated to assemble it at all. However, the blades are too soft and not durable and once one of them flew off to the middle of the road. I bought it to cut the grass strip on the council footpath which is only a few msq. Since I've been keeping it trimmed the grass is never massive I even thought of cutting it with a pair of secateurs. Still, this machine just can't cope with it and it stops each time it comes in contact with the grass. The seller and the manual said "just hoover over the grass then it won't seize." What a load of nonsense. The seller persuaded me to change the blades for the wire cutters which I did and achieved only marginal improvement in the performance. Yes, the battery is fully charged and I've been trimming the same area for 14 years so wouldn't call myself a novice. I'm returning it and asking for a full refund. This is a good-looking toy only which I don't recommend to buy..

  • I am still getting used to handling this Whipper Snipper. The 40V battery gives plenty of power and lasts very well. The cutting discs wear very quickly especially around paving or obstacles. I hoped the machine would be a proper edger as well. The head does rotate a bit, but not 180 degrees and I find I am chewing into the lawn with my edging attempts. I will keep at it and hope to master this one day.

  • Needed fora small area of garden. Looks good. Hopefully the blades will still be available when the time comes.
