We wanted a kitchen bin that didn't have any parts or attachments (movement detectors, foot pedals etc) that might break and render it useless after a few months. We've been suing this bin now for about 3 weeks and we are thrilled with how practical and sturdy it is. For large items we can lift the entire top lid, while smaller scraps just require the small front flap lid to open. The sturdy plastic that it is made from means that when our cats want to sit on top of it, we've no concerns about the plastic bending or cracking. There is even an inner plastic insert which keeps the inner bin bag in place, so that there's no slipping. So when emptying the bin, the handle-ties are clean and the bag lifts out neatly. Very happy with this bin and will purchase more in the range for other parts of the house.
