KingTech engines are the perfect to power the equipment you use to maintain your home and yard, like a garden tiller, log splitter, pressure washer, water pump or portable generator. Count on our versatile and durable utility engines to perform consistently and start easily, no matter how tough the job.
Things you need to consider before purchasing any vertical shaft engine to ensure it fits your mower.
Bolt Pattern
Please check description for the schematic of the bolt pattern. If you have a Briggs & Stratton or Honda engine, the bolt pattern will be a perfect match. The bolt holes on the engine will require thread tapping.
Output Shaft Size
Output shaft on our engine is 1” (25.4mm). Most ride on mower engines with HP ratings between 10 to 18 hp have 1” shafts. But please make sure this is the same for your mower.
Engine Displacement
The displacement of the new engine shall not be less than your current engine to avoid any underpower issue.
Physical Size
If your mower has only limited space for the engine to fit into, you will need to check the physical dimensions of our engine carefully before purchasing. An illustration of the physical dimensions can be found in the images in the description.
Please note this is a universal fitment engine and some modifications to the engine or mower might be needed, including but not limit to the muffler, exhaust system and/or electrical wiring. If you are not familiar or confident to do so, please consult small engine mechanic before purchasing, installing and using.

Happy with the build quality, fitted exactly to the mounting points of the mower, did not need any adjustment to the carburetor and started and ran right from the start.

Fitted onto husqvarna ride on mower .had to lift fuel tank up 1 inch for engine clearence. You hmust discard new exhaust box .Cut and repositon flang on old exhaust pipe & fit into place you may need to reposition original exhaust box. If you can weld and have 3 hrs then do the work yourself , its excellent buy.

Square peg in a round hole. If you are thinking of buying one of these engines; Think carefully... The description on the sales website does not include the physical dimensions, only the bolt hole pattern. The bolt hole pattern is the same as the Briggs and Stratton engine, which is good but that's where the similarity ends. I am attempting to fit one of these engines into a Toro XL440H tractor mower. The original engine was a Briggs and Stratton 31F777. If you are fitting one of these engines to a Zero Turn mower, you shouldn't have too many hassles. The throttle control and fuel connections are on the same side as a Briggs and the space in the back of a zero turn mower for the engine is usually square(ish). However, fitting it to a tractor mower with limited space in the front is a different kettle of fish. As you will see from the pictures, the new engine is very different in style and arrangement. The new engine has a squared off engine cowl, a large air cleaner box and a large square muffler. I have had to reshape my fuel tank to accommodate the oil dipstick which is located at the rear corner of the engine. The Briggs dipstick is on the opposite side and forward of the back of the engine. The new engine cowling needs to be reshaped to slot into the rear of the engine compartment to maintain the structure of the mower. I am also going to have to cut the side out of the bonnet out to accommodate the side mounted muffler because the original Briggs muffler will not fit the new motor. The mounting bolt holes are not threaded. You'll need to tap the required thread before installation. This engine is made in China. ...BE WARNED...The instructions are in 'engrish (chinglish)'. The wiring diagram is incomplete and inaccurate. If you don't have basic electrical knowledge, you will need someone familiar with mower wiring to hook up the electrics. Do not think about starting an engine swap to one of these engines if you are not engineeringly, mechanically and electrically minded. Even if you are; It'll still be a challenge. My advice: Don't be a cheapskate (like me..!). Buy an engine that is designed as a direct fit for your machine...
