A Note On Sustainability
The bogs from which peat moss is sourced are one of the most distinctive kinds of wetlands. These are vital ecosystems so it is imperative that conservation efforts and environmentally responsible harvesting procedures exist. Unfortunately, many of the peat bog wetlands in Europe have been over-harvested and as a result, no longer exist. For these reasons, we have sourced our peat moss from Canada, where over 25% of the worlds peat bogs are found, and the peat industry only operates on 15% of their total reserves.
