Advantix Dog Large Red

Advantix Dog Large Red is a highly effective monthly or fortnightly external skin spot-on treatment for the treatment and prevention of fleas and control of ticks on dogs. This product offers a comprehensive range of benefits, including treatment and prevention of existing fleas, killing fleas in your dog's surroundings and home, reducing the incidence of flea allergy dermatitis, and controlling larval stages of fleas. Additionally, it repels and kills a variety of ticks, lice, sandflies, mosquitos, and stable-biting flies. Advantix starts working within minutes of application, stops fleas feeding in 3-5 minutes, and has been shown to kill adult fleas within 20 minutes of application. Regular use of the product can also break the flea life cycle by killing immature stages of fleas in the environment. Some keys points are:

• Advantix Dog Large Red is a monthly or fortnightly spot-on treatment for fleas and ticks on dogs that kills existing fleas, controls larval stages of fleas, repels and kills ticks, and controls other pests like lice, mosquitos, and flies.
• It starts working within minutes, breaks the flea life cycle, and is safe for dogs and puppies from 7 weeks of age, as well as pregnant and lactating dogs.
• Daily searching and removal of ticks are recommended, and all pets sharing the same environment should be treated. Avoid bathing or swimming until Advantix has dried, and apply as directed by the manufacturer.
• Note that Advantix is toxic to cats, and consult your vet before using it on sick or debilitated dogs.

Water fastness:

• The pet's coat must be dry before applying Advantix.
• Your pet should not be allowed to swim or be shampooed until the Advantix has dried after application to the coat.
• If bathing the dog, use a soap-free shampoo 14 days after treatment is applied.
• Bathing and swimming are not expected to reduce the effectiveness of the Advantix.
• Use a soap-free shampoo or cleansing product if washing pets while using Advantix.

Suitable for use on:

• Dogs and puppies from 7 weeks of age.
• For puppies younger than 7 weeks of age, use an appropriate Advantage for Dogs.
• Safe to use on pregnant and lactating dogs.

Contraindications:

• TOXIC TO CATS - Reports of toxic effects in cats that groom or contact dogs treated with Advantix.
• Consult your vet before using it on sick or debilitated dogs.

Notes:

• Daily searching for and removal of ticks is recommended as the risk of tick paralysis is not entirely eliminated.
• For effective flea control, all dogs and cats that share the common environment should be treated with an appropriate product.
• For year-round effective flea control, continue to apply the product on a monthly basis throughout the year.
• For effective flea control, this product should not be applied or dosed in a manner other than that directed by the manufacturer.
