Painting the gnomes and other garden beings in A Garden of Gnomes was a Covid-19 lockdown project for 97-year-old (or young) June Short. When shed painted all those in her own garden, family members put out the word and people responded with boxes of gnomes for June to paint.Hopefully this will encourage others to keep busy and keep their chin up during these difficult times.
