Wolf Blass Brown Label Cabernet Shiraz 2016
Brown Label Shiraz brings together the best of three regions, uniting power and length from the Barossa Valley, the plush opulence of McLaren Vale and the fragrance and finesse of Langhorne Creek in a synergistic blend.
The original Wolf Blass Brown Label Shiraz was first released in 1975, a blend of Shiraz from Langhorne Creek and the Barossa Valley. The wine came to be known as Brown Label ‘Classic Shiraz’, evolving into the finest Shiraz blend of the vintage, with fruit selected from the year’s three most outstanding regions.
Batches of fruit from each vineyard were fermented separately in small open-top fermenters for 5 to 10 days. Plunging and gentle irrigation were used to work the cap and optimise flavour, colour and tannin extraction, providing for concentration and depth of fruit, while keeping tannins plush. Select batches completed fermentation in barrel, contributing to mid palate texture, while others finished fermentation on skins, providing structural length and focus. After 16 months’ oak maturation, each batch was carefully assessed before blending, to create a truly synergistic wine that brings together the finest attributes of Shiraz from each viticultural region.
Rosemount Estate McLaren Vale GSM 2018
First released in 1994, GSM is Rosemount Estate’s interpretation of the traditional old-world blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre, sourced from McLaren Vale. The rich, spicy fruit flavours of old-bush-vine Grenache balances the opulent power of Shiraz and the firm structure of Mourvèdre. With the Shiraz providing great structure and balance to the upfront fruit of the Grenache, our GSM is not only highly attractive in its youth, but also has the proven ability to age well, up to 10 years with careful cellaring.
Peter Lehmann Portrait Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
The highly rated 2017 vintage in the Barossa has produced red wines, rich in both colour and flavour. The 2017 Portrait Cabernet is deeply coloured and shows black forest fruits leading to a richly structured palate with firm but soft tannins. While drinking beautifully now it is a wine that can be cellared with confidence for a further 5-8 years if desired during which time it will soften and become more complex.
Seppelt Great Entertainer Shiraz 2019
Legend has it that Benno Seppelt, son of our founder Joseph, had a flair for invention. His wine-tasting lab was unusual for the time, containing modern equipment of his own design. He also fetched top dollar for his cured bacon, made from pigs fed on grape-skins. But above all else, he was renowned for making great wine.
Seppelt The Great Entertainer Range is a fresh and lively collection of crowd pleasing drops inspired by the many colourful personalities who have been part of Seppelt legend since 1851.
