Mantas are the largest members of the superorder Batoidea, commonly known as rays. Despite their large size (up to 20 feet across), manta rays pose no threat to humans and only feed on tiny organisms such as krill and plankton.

Scientific Name: Genus Manta
Characteristics: This manta ray is engaged in filter feeding behavior, with its mouth open wide to consume massive amounts of water which it will then filter to separate the shrimp and other small organisms it eats. This hand-painted figure's fins are raised in mid-flap, reflecting the motions it uses to propel itself through the sea.
Size and Color: This figure features a 4 1/2 inch wide wingspan and is 5 3/4 inches long from the fins around its mouth to the tip of its tail, making it about the size of a soda can. Its body is black with white markings on its tail, wingtips and head. Its underside is white.

History:

Once believed to be a single species, the Manta genus is now usually separated into two: Manta bistrosis, the giant ocean manta, and Manta alfredi, the reef manta. The oceanic manta is larger, and can measure up to 23 feet wide. The reef manta is a bit smaller, with a maximum wingspan of 18 feet. Aside from size, the oceanic and reef mantas can be told apart by their markings. Reef mantas feature a soft gradient between the white and black markings on their backs, whereas oceanic mantas have sharper, crisp separation between white and black. This figure represents an oceanic manta.

Address Changes: If you enter the incorrect name or shipping address details and the item is returned to us via Australia Post, you will be subject to a RTS(return to sender) fee. You will also be responsible for reshipping charge

Return process: If you have a problem with your goods, please contact us within 14 days after receiving the order. We will investigate your issues and advise whether your product may be returned and how to return your goods.

Once an item is returned we will either inspect your goods and investigate any claimed defect or in some cases, send the goods to third parties for assessment and/or repair.

If we do not believe a remedy is applicable upon inspecting your goods (for example, where we believe the goods have been misused, or there was a failure to use in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, used it in an abnormal way or there has been a failure to take reasonable care), we will reject your claim and return your goods to you. You must cover the cost of return shipping in order to receive goods we have rejected on inspection, and we will provide you with instructions on how to make this payment.
Any refunds will be issued using the payment method used for purchase. We aim to process refunds and replacements within 14 days after receiving the order.
