The HOYA 55mm CIRC-POL (NANO) HD Filter (EOL) helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. The light from the sun naturally becomes partially polarized due to reflecting off electrons in air molecules, causing the light to scatter into what appears as haze. A polarizing filter arranges, and filters, this directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of this light. This results in a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces and an increase in the saturation of skies and foliage.

To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, the glass surface includes an 8-layer anti-reflective HD Multi-Coating. This offers further protection to the filter substrate and makes it water and oil repellent as well as scratch and stain-resistant. This filter features a thin filter ring to minimize the potential for vignetting while enhancing durability and jamming prevention and has 55mm front filter threads. Additionally, it comes with a protective case.

Powered Coating

The newly developed coating of the Hoya HD filters is stuck to the glass surface more firmly than what previous technologies allowed. Adhering closely by the nano level. The coating particles are layered on the glass surface with extremely high-density creating a hard and smooth coating. Besides ultra-hard and smooth features, HOYA HD nano-coating has superior water and oil repellent abilities that will make filter maintenance easy and stress-free.

Improved Protection Performance and Durability

Filter coatings are not permanent. The get damaged from repeated cleaning with wipes and become weaker as time passes by. They can also protect the lens from physical damage, but a strike that does not break the filter may end up scratching it and ruining it prematurely. A solid and scratch-resistant filter coating is a great advantage.

HOYA HD filters are designed with ultra-hard nano-coating to protect your camera lens. The HD nano UV filter is a filter with a UV cut curve that does not affect the visible light range. In addition, this filter features a new powered coating that protects the lens from scouring, while allowing easy cleaning of water spots and fingerprints. The HD nano glass is 4X stronger chemically enhanced optical glass.

All orders are delivered using Australia Post (or their sub-contracted courier services).

- We aim to dispatch your order within 48 hours of receiving it.
