Enduro Bearings introduced MAX-type bearings for bicycles over 20 years ago to tackle challenges encountered in mountain bike pivots. These bearings possess a 35-40% higher load capacity compared to standard radial bearings. Achieving this involves a distinct design that involves inserting the maximum number of balls into the bearing via a custom ground slot in the races. With extra balls and deep race grooves, these bearings offer enhanced lateral support, specifically catering to the twisting and multi-directional forces associated with mountain bike pivots. This ABEC-3 bearing comprises deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals, ensuring optimal protection against external elements while retaining a 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease.

Numerous bicycle brands, such as Santa Cruz, Transition, and Rocky Mountain, have employed this bearing as a suspension pivot bearing.

The Enduro line of bearings encompasses variants in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid, and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. These bearings are consistently engineered with the deepest groove races feasible to accommodate the largest balls and incorporate dual-lip seals navigating within micro-grooves, creating a complete labyrinth for superior defence against environmental elements.
